To assist with native fisheries and ecosystems they&#8217;ve launched over 15,000 redfish on the Ramp Road Park. This is all a part of the East Coast Redfish Restocking Initiative: \u201cRelease the East.\u201d The launch of the over 15,000 redfish was the fruits of years of planning and actions. All of it was in an effort to assist reestablish and develop the redfish inhabitants within the Indian River Lagoon on the east coast of Florida.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>\u201cThe Indian River is such an important ecosystem to the east coast of Florida, and we are proud to work with CCA Florida to help with its preservation\u201d mentioned Brook Oliva, Mud Hole Custom Tackle President. \u201cIt\u2019s been amazing to work with Brian and the whole CCA team over the past two years on this program. From catching the broodstock to today\u2019s release of thousands of redfish, it\u2019s been a rewarding effort for the Mud Hole Custom Tackle team.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The \u201cRelease the East\u201d initiative is an extension of CCA Florida and the Duke Energy Mariculture Center\u2019s profitable West Coast redfish restocking program. The objective of those packages is the revitalizing the declining crimson fish populations on the coasts of Florida. The preliminary launch of 15,000 juvenile fish within the Indian River Lagoon is only the start.
