Cunard has introduced will probably be launching a brand new images exhibition referred to as ‘Sea Views,’ that includes never-before-seen imagery from the Cunard archives along with a collection of pictures submitted by visitors and curated by photographer and filmmaker Mary McCartney.<\/p>\n

The exhibition will mark two key centenaries: the primary being that 100 years in the past, Cunard was the primary cruise line to introduce an on board photographer to seize the signature moments of its visitors’ voyage. The second is the 100-year anniversary of the first-ever around the world cruise on Cunard’s ship Laconia.<\/em><\/p>\n

To have a good time each of those milestones, Cunard has partnered with British photographer Mary McCartney to curate the distinctive exhibition of 100 photos captured throughout the road’s fleet of ships. With earlier visitors together with icons akin to Elizabeth Taylor and Bing Crosby, Cunard shall be opening its archives to pick out images that showcase the glamour, grandeur, and timeless type that it has turn into well-known for.<\/p>\n

“With over 14,000 images stored in the Cunard archives in Liverpool \u2013 the founding home port of Cunard Line \u2013 we have a wealth of memories from the 1920s to present day to choose from,” stated Si\u00e2n Wilks, Cunard Archivist on the University of Liverpool Library. “We are extremely excited to work alongside Mary McCartney to launch the Sea Views exhibition.”<\/p>\n

In addition to the archived pictures that shall be on show, Cunard is asking on its visitors to share any images they could have taken over time whereas touring on a Cunard ship. All photos shared shall be reviewed, with chosen pictures chosen to be a part of the centennial exhibition.<\/p>\n

To submit your individual photograph(s), ship a digital photograph and your e-mail to cunardphotography@cunard.co.uk alongside along with your identify, age, the ship the photograph was captured on, the date it was taken, a brief description of the {photograph}, and your contact particulars. Entries should be submitted by February 5, 2023. If your photograph is chosen, you’ll be notified by February 17, 2023.<\/p>\n
