The tie-up between Delta Air Lines and South American mega-carrier LATAM is increasing to incorporate a brand-new route.<\/p>\n

The two carriers introduced<\/a> on Monday that new service between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and El Dorado International Airport (BOG) in Bogota, Colombia, will begin on July 1, utilizing a 174-seat Airbus A320 jet operated by LATAM Colombia.<\/p>\n

The new route will function day by day and go up towards current companies available in the market operated by Colombian flag service Avianca and ultra-low-cost service Spirit Airlines.<\/p>\n

“Through the Joint Venture with Delta, we are going to enhance our presence within the United States market, which continues to be one of the crucial necessary worldwide locations for Colombian passengers,” Santiago Alvarez, CEO of LATAM Airlines Colombia, stated in an announcement.<\/p>\n

The new route comes only a few months after the three way partnership partnership between Delta and LATAM<\/a> was authorized by regulators. The Atlanta-based service shocked the business in September 2019 when it introduced that it was taking a 20% stake in LATAM<\/a>, pulling the airline away from the Oneworld frequent flyer alliance<\/a>.<\/p>\n
