Here now we have a bit of Colt double motion linage. This is a Colt Model 1878 Frontier \u201cSix Shooter\u201d. These full-size and full cartridge double motion revolvers had been the follow-up to the Colt 1877 \u201cLightning\u201d and \u201cThunderer\u201d which had been moderately small framed and had been chambered for 38 Colt and 41 Colt. The Colt 1878 was not meant to switch 1877 by any means.
