The FBI Columbia discipline workplace is investigating a suspicious demise that occurred aboard Carnival Cruise Line\u2019s Carnival Sunshine <\/em>in Charleston, South Carolina.<\/p>\n The ship was on a five-night cruise to the Bahamas on February twenty seventh when a girl was discovered unresponsive. Medical workers and crew members tried life-saving measures, however the passenger was declared lifeless on the ship.<\/p>\n In a press release, Carnival Cruise Line spokesman Matt Lupoli stated \u201cThe FBI joined Carnival Sunshine<\/em> upon its return to Charleston yesterday morning to conduct an investigation into the death of a guest. Both the deceased and her husband were debarked in Nassau and Bahamian authorities have already investigated the circumstances and are conducting an autopsy. We are fully cooperating. This is a matter for authorities in The Bahamas and Charleston and we have no further comments.\u201d<\/p>\n Once the ship arrived again in Charleston on March 4th, an FBI crew processed the deceased passenger\u2019s room for proof.<\/p>\n FBI spokesperson Kevin Wheeler stated \u201cThe FBI investigates certain crimes on the high seas, as well as suspicious deaths of U.S. persons.\u201d Officials say the incident was remoted and there wasn\u2019t a menace to some other passengers.
