Carnival Australia’s Teresa Lloyd Inducted into the Maritime Hall of Fame – Cruise Industry News


Carnival Australia introduced that Teresa Lloyd, chief technique and exterior affairs officer, has been inducted into the Maritime Hall of Fame.

The award, which is a recognition of her contribution to Australia’s maritime business, was introduced to Lloyd on the DCN Australia Shipping & Maritime Industry Awards in Melbourne earlier this month, based on a press release. 

“It has been an absolute privilege to lead the maritime industry in this country for the past 20 years in my previous role as CEO of Maritime Industry Australia Ltd. My commitment to the maritime industry is as steadfast as ever, and I look forward to continuing to do all I can to support the industry,” stated Lloyd whereas accepting the award.

Lloyd started her profession as a naval architect earlier than she began managing Technical Services for Western Australia’s Port Hedland, Port Authority. In 2008, she led the Maritime Industry Association Limited.

Lloyd joined the Carnival Australia workforce as chief technique and exterior affairs officer in June 2022. 

Carnival’s latest ship in Australia, the Carnival Luminosa, entered service for Carnival Cruise Line earlier this month when it departed from Brisbane, Australia. 

From November 2022 by April 2023, the Carnival Luminosa will supply cruises to a number of Australian locations in addition to New Zealand and South Pacific itineraries. 

Some of the ports the Carnival Luminosa will go to earlier than the top of 2022 embrace Cairns, Airlie Beach, Hobart, Dunedin, Wellington, Noumea, Mistery Island,and extra.
