Despite the recognition of the e-muster drills, which each and every main cruise line put into place as a part of their enhanced COVID protocols, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has determined that it will likely be going again to the previous approach of doing issues.
The firm introduced that starting instantly, it will likely be reinstating synchronized muster drills on embarkation day throughout all the vessels within the fleet. Yes, which means ready for everybody to assemble at their assigned stations and sit by way of the protection directions.
A memo from Norwegian Crusie Line stated, “The safety of our guests and crew members is our number one priority. We continuously evaluate our procedures for providing detailed instructions on safety and security measures to our guests, and as such, have made the decision to reinstate synchronized muster drills on embarkation day across all vessels within the fleet. This policy will go into effect immediately upon each vessel’s next embarkation day.”
This will apply to each ship below the Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings model, together with Norwegian Cruise Line, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, and Oceania Cruises.
Back in November, Disney Cruise Line turned the primary main cruise line to return to conventional muster drills. At the time, the road cited each issues of safety and the non-compliance of visitors. Norwegian Cruise Line has not but given a purpose for its return to the old-school muster drills.
Meanwhile, it was solely days in the past that Carnival Cruise Line’s model ambassador, John Heald, reported that the road he represents plans to proceed with the e-muster drills.
According to the International Maritime Organization, the passenger security drill should be finished earlier than the cruise ship leaves its homeport.
