Accor, lodge operator in Australia and New Zealand, introduced the appointment of David Young to the function of Chief Sustainability Officer and Director of ESG for Accor Pacific.
David has intensive ESG, industrial and operational expertise gained over a few years from working within the journey business in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the UK. Prior to becoming a member of Accor, David labored with the oneworld alliance as Global Program Director Sustainability and was beforehand the Executive Manager of Sustainability and ESG on the Qantas Group. Over the final 20 years David has held senior working roles with Qantas as Executive Manager Commercial at Qantas Loyalty, and Chief Operating Officer Qantas Catering and Inflight Services. He additionally spent 7 years in London as a Board Member and Executive Director of the listed Journey Group Plc, a world journey catering and provide firm. Currently a Director of YHA Australia and a Trustee of the Golden Stave Foundation, David is the previous President of the Aviation Sustainability Forum.
