Rachel Heaton, member of the Muckleshoot Indian tribe, with Duwamish Ancestors, led an All Native Tahoma (Mount Rainier) Climb this September with the aim to see her individuals represented on the mountain whereas inspiring the opposite Native climbers to benefit from the connection to their land. Due to climate constraints, the group was not in a position to summit, however in the long run, they realized the climb was about a lot extra.
