Coast Guard Medevacs Cruise Passenger from the Ruby Princess

Yesterday morning, the United States Coast Guard (USCG) medevaced a sixty-six 12 months previous girl from the Ruby Princess cruise ship. The USCG station in Astoria, Oregon dispatched a MH-60 Jayhawk which winched the cruise visitor from the Princess cruise ship when the ship was roughly seventy-five miles southwest of the Columbia River Bar close to Portland.

KATU information station in Oregon reported that the girl was airlifted to Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland and is now in steady medical situation.

There is not any public info concerning what medical situation this explicit passenger suffered from or the explanation for the emergency medical evacuation.

Medical evacuation of company or crew members from cruise ships is supplied by the USCG with out price or expense to the cruise company, crew members or the cruise strains themselves. It is without doubt one of the many bills incurred by U.S. federal businesses that are paid by U.S. taxpayers.
