Inside the Secret Masonic Temple at Andaz London

Step contained in the Secret Masonic Temple at Andaz London. This beautiful Secret Temple was just lately found on the London boutique lodge.

Andaz London on Liverpool Street unearthed this secret Freemason Temple. Hidden behind a wall for many years, this secret masonic lodge was solely rediscovered throughout renovations. Opened because the Great Eastern Hotel in 1884 and one in all London’s authentic railway motels, the Andaz is housed in a surprising brick Victorian constructing designed by the architects of London’s famed Houses of Parliament.

The windowless room is named a “Grecian Temple,” an opulent mixture of Italian marble and checked flooring. After descending the temple’s spiral staircase, the Neoclassic area features a beautiful blue dome ceiling with gold zodiac element, regal thrones and an organ.

Built by architect Charles Barry, Jr., in what was then the Great Eastern Hotel, that is most likely some of the grandiose Masonic temples in London. Jack the Ripper was lively close by and was a Freemason, so students conclude that he gathered on this enchanting and personal location.

Beautifully restored and maintained by Andaz London, now part of the Hyatt household, the Masonic Temple is now obtainable for personal occasions, yoga courses and human sacrifices (we’re kidding about that final half).

The London property even had Lady Gaga come by for a photoshoot with Vogue Italia, and Paloma Faith shot her music video for ‘I Just Can’t Rely on You’ within the Secret Temple.
