POTD: Straight To The Ground – S&W Straight Line Single Shot Pistol

Welcome to at this time’s Photo of the Day! Here we have now a really cool early 22-target pistol. This is the Smith and Wesson Straight Line Single Shot Pistol which made its debut in 1925. Up till the early Twenties Smith and Wesson dominated the goal pistol market with revolvers that had been probably not revolvers. They had a single-piece cylinder that didn’t rotate and solely took one cartridge at a time. These had been so beloved that Olympic goal shooters closely most popular them. Green felt lined with a two piece cleansing rod, screwdriver and 6 small targets, some used.”
