With Route Sharing, members of the family can now see what climate hazards drivers are heading into, custom-tailored to the route the motive force has chosen.
Weather Route, Inc.’s app, Highway Weather, has simply launched a brand new function known as Route Sharing. The function permits drivers to share the small print of any weather-related obstacles they’ll encounter on their drive with family and friends.
Drivers utilizing the Highway Weather app can merely share their route from the app to generate a hyperlink. Anyone with the hyperlink can see the forecasted drive on the app web site and see any potential extreme climate. Families can use this data to plan winter journey collectively, even remotely. Being privacy-conscious, no private location data is shared; internet guests merely see the route and associated climate data as in the event that they have been beginning the drive themselves.
“With winter weather season upon us, we wanted to give our users a way to easily communicate potential road hazards with loved ones,” stated Weather Route CTO, Devan Stormont. “We hope this will help people feel more connected and safe while traveling.”
