A landowner in northeast Kansas contacted authorities final week after discovering a number of lifeless deer that exhibited wounds from a small-bore rifle.
Wildlife officers for the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) are working to find out who shot seven deer discovered lifeless not too long ago in Washington County, Kan.
The division’s sport wardens reported the information through a Jan. 9 Facebook submit. According to the submit, a landowner initially discovered 5 whitetail deer lifeless in crop fields on Jan. 4, “shot with a small caliber rifle and left to lay.”
The landowner reported the invention, then sport wardens discovered two extra deer throughout their investigation. Wardens mentioned the deer have been killed outdoors the city of Hanover. One of the carcasses was positioned lower than 250 yards from two separate residences, the submit mentioned.
