AIDAmar Returns to Hamburg After 117-Day Voyage – Cruise Industry News


The AIDAmar returned to the port of Hamburg on February 20, 2023, after a 117-day world voyage.

The AIDAmar launched into the voyage on October 26, 2022, visiting South America first after which transferring to the South Seas to Australia.

Guests aboard the ship celebrated Christmas within the Fiji Islands adopted by a New Year’s celebration in Sydney, Australia.

The ship moored within the port of Hamburg early on Monday morning.

The ship has crossed all three main oceans within the earlier months together with the Atlantic, the Pacific and the Indian Ocean.

The final European locations the ship visited had been Tenerife, Madeira, Lisbon, Porto and Cherbourg.

Built at Meyer Werft for AIDA Cruises, this journey was the primary world voyage for AIDAmar, and in addition the primary ship of the Sphinx-class to be despatched on a journey world wide.

Initially, the world voyage was deliberate for the AIDAsol, however as a result of technical points, the ship was modified in October 2022.
