Family Fun at a Farmhouse in Temecula Valley Wine Country

Four heartwarming
occasions and a culinary competitors obtained the household going to a one-of-a-kind four-night
reunion in Temecula, California. We had two birthdays, a photograph shoot of 4
generations of girls, and a Filipino custom: asking for a hand in marriage.

The Wine
Valley

The valley
is in southern California between Los Angeles and San Diego. With practically 50
wineries, its microclimate produces high-quality grapes and award-winning
wines. Farmhouses, spas, and views abound, in addition to eating locations. My
husband’s 80th birthday dinner was on the Restaurant on the Ponte Winery. The Corbeaux Wine and Tea House was the location of the women’ afternoon
out for tea. My eldest celebrated her 50th birthday at Bolero’s with
three totally different sorts of paella and different Spanish dishes. This additionally turned the venue
for the asking of my Second Apo’s (grandchild) hand in marriage!

One
afternoon was spent wine tasting on the Masia de la Vinya Vineyard collectively
with my daughter’s best-loved baked macaroni, Filipino-style. Another day we
walked Temecula Old Town. The girls took house shabby stylish maternity and different
attire from
Under the Willow. They had been good for the photograph shoot of 4 generations of girls,
together with my great-grandbaby nonetheless in my First Apo’s womb. The boys shopped for
wine and did their walkabouts.

The
Farmhouse

My daughter
discovered this nice farmhouse in a winery atop a hill with a 360⁰ view of the
wine valley. The 4br ranch-style white house was good for the grandparents,
the dad and mom, and the siblings and companions. There was a spacious open space for
Karaoke nights with a big lounge set and an 85-inch TV above the stone
fire.  Every boisterous meal was
celebrated on the eight-seater eating desk after spirited meal preparations
across the white kitchen’s massive white island. Tucked in a nook was a spherical
desk with 4 chairs which turned the scene for comfortable mahjong classes.

Just beneath the
home, beneath the orange timber, was a big pool/sizzling tub space good for different
gatherings.  There had been lounge chairs on
the deck proper exterior the massive open space searching into the valley. Right
after the outside parking space, there was an enormous dwelling/eating space for outside
meals and gatherings.

The Culinary
Competition

My daughter
had this sensible thought of a culinary competitors for these meals once we had been
not eating out. She didn’t need any mediocre meal and gave away prizes of $50
for first place, 30 for second, and 20 for third.

The 1st
Prize went to the Corned Beef Kare-Kare dinner which my First Apo ready for the
first dinner as quickly as everybody arrived late within the afternoon of our first
evening. Kare-kare is a Filipino basic stew with a thick savory peanut sauce
normally ready with beef oxtail.  Instead,
they made corned beef patties served with the standard veggies: eggplant,
inexperienced beans, and bok choy.

2nd
Place went to a breakfast of Purple Yam Biscuits with Longganisa Gravy and Chia
Pudding with Mango and Pomelo Bits, a wholesome and scrumptious morning meal, made
by my Second Apo. third Prize went to Miso Bulalo courtesy of their youthful
brother who rehashed the Beef Bulalo (beef shank stew), by including the Japanese thick
paste, served with loads of bokchoy and yellow corn. 4th Place went
to the daddy of the brood who mounted us “putosulot,” Filipino rice pudding with
toppings: conventional, purple yam or pandan condensed milk, brown or white
sugar, grated coconut, and elective salted eggs.

I got here in
final with a breakfast of hash brown casserole, scrambled eggs with cheese,
sourdough bread, bacon and sausage, and store-bought “cowboy quiche.” I didn’t
know there was a contest, and I had a Caucasian husband to please. Those are my
excuses and I’m sticking to them.
